Abstract

The incidence of diabetes mellitus is increasing every year. Indonesia is ranked fifth country with the highest number of people with diabetes mellitus in the world. One of the complications that often occurs is diabetic retinopathy. This study aims to analyze the relationship between age, gender, duration of diabetes mellitus type 2 and diabetic retinopathy. This research is an analytical observational with a cross-sectional approach. All variable data in this study was obtained from medical records. A total of 91 samples were selected using consecutive non random sampling techniques. The chi square test showed a relationship between age (p=0,044; p<0,05), gender (p=0,040; p<0,05), duration of DM type 2 (p=0,046; p<0,05) and diabetic retinopathy. Age, gender, and duration of DM type 2 are factors that cannot be modified and affects the occurrence of retinopathy diabetic

Abstract

Field N-SPT, used as the primary data in calculating pile bearing capacity, must be corrected by analytical methods to become N-SPT analytical correction. The analytical process requires unit weight, groundwater level, soil classification, and drilling equipment specifications to calculate field N-SPT to become analytical correction of N-SPT. A graphical approach is proposed to simplify the analytical method and to accelerate calculating the estimated pile-bearing capacity, which can be directly obtained from the relationship between the field N-SPT and the graphical correction N-SPT. The calculation results of analytically corrected N-SPT and graphical corrected N-SPT based on the field N-SPT show that the graphic of N-SPT increases linearly acording value of the field N-SPT. From all the calculations of the corrected N-SPT and pile bearing capacity obtained the ratio of pile capacity (RQ) of the graphical corrected N-SPT to the analytically corrected N-SPT are RQu = 0.93, RQp = 0.94, and RQs = 0,94. This shows that the N-SPT Graphical Correction chart can be used to simplify and accelerate the prediction of pile-bearing capacity based on field N-SPT

Abstract

Bloomberg Businessweek has published the news titled G-20 Role for 27-year-old Indonesia Singer Sparks Criticism. The news contains controversy about Maudy Ayunda's role as a spokesperson for G20 Indonesia. The research is interesting because the power of international news can dominate the political issues of national media, especially since the person who gets attacked is a female gender figure who is also a celebrity. This research used qualitative and descriptive methods. The source of research data is a Bloomberg article written by Yudith Ho and Rieka Rahadiana in 2022. Text analysis was used to analyze the data, with an emphasis on women's discourse from Roger Fowler. The results show the existence of discourse battles carried out by critics. Wasisto Raharjo and Irfan Wahyudi's thoughts became an opinion subject because the government did not choose Maudy Ayunda correctly as the international spokesperson. From this analysis, this research contains an element of controversy and a reasonable interpretation that the point of view of critics is different from the point of view of ordinary people

Abstract

The study was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of character education for the development of basic values and to compare the difference in value development of students on the basis of gender. The study was experimental in nature and pretest posttest method was used in the study. The population of study comprises 39132 students of 355 primary schools at Islamabad. 25 students from the grade three of primary level were selected as the sample of the study. Two self-generated tools, pre and post observation and lesson plans were used for the experimental study. The experimental study was carried out for 4 weeks in primary level schools. Two teachers were detailed for teaching and assessment of students. Pre observation of selective group conducted before the experiment. It records the prior condition of values and character of students. Then experiment was conducted. 5 values were taught in 20 days. Total class duration of this experiment was 600 minutes. These minutes were distributed as 30 minutes as per day. After the experiment, post observation was conducted to measure the effect of character education and gander-based comparison in value development through character education. After analyzing the pre and post observation data through SPSS, it was found that character education affects the process of value development of students. SPSS calculated 8.78 differences between post and pre observation. The second finding was about the evaluation of gender-based comparison of value development through character education. The difference measured in pre observation was 0.85 and difference in post observation data was 0.29. This minor difference proved that there was no gender difference in value development through character education. According to findings it is recommended that organizations and institutions may integrate character education in the prescribed curriculum. They may offer special diplomas and short courses of character education

Abstract

Indonesia and Malaysia are countries that build quality education in a sustainable manner. The quality of education, which is a measure of educational success, is related to the ability or intelligence of students. In order to be able to manage students in a special education secondary school, student management is needed. The research process uses qualitative methods with a multi-site research type design. Data collection techniques are by interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the management of students carried out in special education secondary schools both in Indonesia and in Malaysia is carried out in accordance with the regulations in force in each country, because the two schools that are used as research subjects are national schools in Malaysia and public schools in Indonesia so that the rules from the government must be fully implemented, the difference lies in the grouping of students where in Malaysia they are grouped permanently according to the type of skill interest while in Indonesia they are grouped based on the level and type of disability
